Today’s Trope is Savior Complex.
We all know them, and some of us have them in our lives. This is the character who believes it's their duty to save their family, their people, their community by doing the absolute most, translating to the burden of saving folks on their shoulders. Usually you find these characters sacrificing everything for their family and never telling them. Or you may find that a person has a thousand years magical duty or a bloodline curse that defines their role. The thing is THEY NEVER TALK TO ANYONE about their REAL FEELINGS. Therefore these saviors are excruciating to watch.
